Episode 1404: 19/06/2007

After passing the Selectivitat exam with a 8'4, Enric (who is still in bad terms with Pep) hears from Mercè that Max's father, Beni, is in prison. At home, his parents want him to go with them to a little seatown during the summer, but he refuses. His parents ask him if it's because of Max, but he answers that they aren't together anymore. Their parents, happy, start making plans which involve Enric returning home, but before giving an answer, Enric flees (yes, AGAIN).

Enric, worried about Max, goes to the pizza restaurant where Max works, but doesn't have the courage to enter. Edu finds him at the door, and the conversation goes more or less like this:
Edu: what are you doing here?
Enric: I've come to see Max, I've heard that his father is in prison.
Edu: He's inside, you know. And he's quite depressed. Why don't you enter and ask him if he needs anything?
Enric: I don't want to make him angrier.
Edu: You're scared that he will tell you to go away. What do you want exactly?
Enric: I want us to be friends.
Edu: He already has friends. Real ones.

Enric returns to his home and talks about Beni's situation with his gradfather, and admits that he couldn't gather the courage to talk to Max. His grandfather recriminates him and does a little speech, saying that he should be there when a friend needs him and that he needs to change his attitude and say what he really wants, not always avoiding the question. The conversation ends abruptly when his grandpa states that, if he isn't willing to change this attitude, he'd better return with his parents.
